Baryonyx - help.

As stated on Dododex, the Baryonyx is the 2nd best to gather Raw Prime fish meat, however when using it in the water on Sabertooths I am not getting any Raw Prime fish meat at all, same thing with the Megalodon, not getting any prime fish meat - am I doing something wrong here?

Hrm...there was another poster earlier today reporting getting almost no prime fish meat either....I wonder if this is a new bug perhaps...

Have you tested in SP with higher harvest as an experiment?

No I haven't - this is on a multiplayer sever, but there is higher harvesting on this server. A mate of mine just used the sickle on on Sabertooth Salmons, and only got between 0-4 Raw Prime fish meat per fish with the first mentioned being the most frequent. :S

Been a while since I touched a baryonyx, but I think I know why. Baryonyx and other dinos had never been able to farm prime fish meat from salmon. It's a common misconception, but I believe what dododex meant was that it farms higher amount of prime fish meat from corpse that will definitely drop prime fish meat.

Salmon corpse are special, sickles can harvest prime fish meat from dead salmon, but dinos cannot.

Alpha sharks and leeds are probably the only dinos that can be farmed for prime fish meat through normal means (kill and harvest). I'm not sure if fish killed by tamed gulls will allow dinos harvest prime fish meat though, but it's probably worth checking, that'd be your best and reliable source of prime fish meat.
