Raw prime fish meat???

I’m on conquest Ragnarock official server. Tried for awhile yesterday to get some raw prime fish meat by killing Sabertooth salmon with a spear and harvesting with a sickle. Got 2-3 pieces early on couldn’t get one after that. I killed over 50 sabersalmon. Am I doing something wrong or is it just that rare of a drop?

Tame an Ichtyornis... with normal fish. (even in SP this is a loooong process, though.) Then you can let them hunt fish and bring it to you. Hunted fish and dinos (like Dodos) get a buff, which increases prime-harvest significantly.

Then you can tame a Paragornis much faster with prime fish meat. (both only eat fish.)
And also a baryonix. I didn't tame that thing, yet. I don't like them. I prefer sarcosuchus... but since the buff for them, I didn't try to tame one... yet. Are they faster then an unskilled megalodon? They have a deathroll-attack, don't they? I fear, they demount you...

Or get a pegomastax-pair and make kibble from the eggs to tame the birds. (Both birds prefer pegomastax-kibble, if I remember correctly.) But my fist solution is still faster, I suppose, even if its a very long prcess to tame an Ichtyornis and Paragornis without kibble... (I like both birds. But since I play again on Ragnarok I didn't tame them, yet.)

But to get normal prime meat, there is a much easier solution - at least at ragnarok - than an Ichtiyonis hunting dodos: Get a Griffin and Dive-stike brontos. (NOT the bomb...) If your Griffin is skilled in damage, you easily get 20 prime meat out of one bronto with a dive-strike, even with the nerf of last year. (Ok at least in SP.)

you must have the ichthyornis setting on "hunt and retrieve" and the have to whistle "attack this target" to retrieve fish. I do no play official servers but it has worked everytime with any fish ichthy catches.
