Raw prime fish meat???
I’m on conquest Ragnarock official server. Tried for awhile yesterday to get some raw prime fish meat by killing Sabertooth salmon with a spear and harvesting with a sickle. Got 2-3 pieces early on couldn’t get one after that. I killed over 50 sabersalmon. Am I doing something wrong or is it just that rare of a drop?

I do not play in officials, so I do not know how the drops work. But I know that the best way to get first meat easily, is with one oz. I've searched for it to get rid of doubts and effectively in the wiki it also has an oz.

So making conclusions I guess that in the officials the drops are very low.

I feel if something is not well understood, I have translated it from google translator.

Shouldn’t be. It’s fairly common. You’re doing it right and a sample size of 50 is large enough that any streaks of randomness should have evened out. Maybe try a different prey? Sharks or dunks perhaps. The good news is it isn’t necessary for anything, it’s just an extra, so if you can’t get it don’t sweat it.

Ichthyornis + Chainsaw do wanders...it doesn't even need to be saber salmon...it can be coel but size do matters :)

He’s not trying to get just fish meat. He’s looking for prime, which doesn’t drop from Coels.

It does if you use the ichthyornis I think.

Will have to defer, never tried. Bottom line is till raw prime fish isn’t essential or important for anything. It’s basically a fluff food. I wouldn’t waste a lot of time trying to get my hands on it. If you get it, you get it, if not no biggie.

It's better taming efficiency and less time, right? Just like prime meat.

And get a stupid itchy...only thing they are good for.

Meh. It’s better than raw fish meat sure, but worse than raw prime meat, cooked prime meat, raw mutton and lamb chops as well as Spino kibble. I’d argue it’s just as easy to get any of those as raw prime fish, with the exception of the kibble, and they’re all better.

What about fish only eaters. Like the Baryonyx. Prime fish is just below kibble.

Sorry I forgot to include that i was using megas as an example, but I suppose you have a good point about the Baryonyx. I just personally have never found myself *really* needing them, but that might be because my personal play style is by the time I’m spending a lot of time in the water, I’m usually only going after high end stuff like Moses and squids.

I tried using a baryonyx and still no luck and even killed way more than 50 sabertooth salmon. It’s like we were bugged and just couldn’t get any. Raw prime fish meat is way easier to tame a spino with over just plain raw fish meat and since the spoil timer isn’t to terribly bad. I can just stack a few preserving salt bins on him and let the raw prime fish ride out with only really having to worry about his torpor.

I tried to kill and harvest a few megaladons as well still no success.

Might be worth trying the itchy chainsaw method mentioned above. I have heard people say that can give tons.

"When told to attack or thrown at a fish, the Ichthyornis will catch, kill, and return carrying its target. Its prey's corpse will have an aura indicating that collecting from the corpse will provide Prime Fish Meat, even if it is not normally dropped by the target creature. Additionally, there are several land creatures from which it can enable collection of Prime Meat from including Dodo, Pegomastax, Lystrosaurus, Trilobite, and Compy"
