What does it take to ascend gamma?

Hey, just wanted to know what it takes to ascend on gamma difficulty, official settings. What would it require?

Lots of rexes (possibly bred), I assume... As for every boss.
A Giganoto is an upgrade, but I wouldn't try these against bosses... they probably will change sides there...

I must admit, though I didn't fight a single boss, yet. I even didn't get a single artifact, yet.

You need trophies from advanced creatures and artifacts out of caves. The trophies aren't THAT difficult to get, but the caves... They're another story. You not only have to confront creatues, that only apear in caves, the caves itself have special environments. (extrem heat and cold, for example.) AND you need to find them first. Get a small mount (Sabertooth is one of the most favorites for caves. Although a spider and/or scorpion also isn't bad.)

Gigas are not allowed into boss fights unless you use certain ways to cheat them in, fyi. OP the standard loadout for boss fights is 17 rexes bred for health and melee stat with higher quality saddles. The saddles are key for damage mitigation, even at gamma level. You will also want 2 daedons for the healting and a Yuty for buff/debuff. This is widely regarded as the standard approach for pretty much all boss fights.

No, you can ascend at gamma, beta, or alpha. Each requires their respective levels of trophies, as well as the beta and alpha requiring even more extremely rare items on top of their trophies.

doing it on official with only one or two persons is next to impossible.. it's a long road next to lots of lava with a bunch of stupid rexes on follow and with everything Ark has attacking you .. the following Rexes will jump in the lava rather quickly and you're left in the mids of mayhem all alone.. and you haven't even reached the Boss yet.

Thanks for the response, one last question. Would it be possible with 10 people? To beat all the gamma bosses, then go through the tek cave, and ascend gamma

There are methods with pheromone darts to clear the path, by sending creatures into the lava.

I didn't know, that Gigas aren't allowed. I thought only flyers aren't allowed... But as I said, I wouldn't try Gigas anyway. I don't have much desire, that they go on a rampage against you... Hm. I wonder, why they aren't allowed, since they have this aggro-penalty...

I wonder, if Paracers with platform-saddles are allowed in the ascension-cave... At least you would have a possibitly to transport the healing-cakes in a preseving-bin, and have a respawn-point. (Yeah, I know, you can transport the cakes in a Hyeanodon with saddle, if they're allowed...)

If you play single-player, I think, it's possible with the single-player standard-settings. (e. g. 0.2 difficulty and a special single-player setting. I don't know exactly what the effect of this is, though.) But as I said, I didn't try it myself, yet.

Thank you, what I had read (must have been old) said that ascending to a new map required beta level fights. Things change so much.
