Best place to find tek rex on the island?

Hey guys i am on a server cluster with mostly vanilla settings was wondering where would be the best place to find tek rexes as we want to bred up some good ones for a boss farm. I have seen heavy rex spawn all near north hard 1 spawn and on the river near red woods and one of the netal moutains but they are seem to be normal rexes do i just need to genocide all the animals till tek rex spawns or what am i doing wrong?

Genocide. Tek rexes have a 5% chance to spawn

thanks i have been genociding no luck so far back to more murder i guess.

Keep murderising and one will spawn. It's a numbers game
