If you have hibernation enabled (Its on by default in single player/non-dedicated) it DRASTICALLY reduces your odds of running into a giga/titansaur/quetz in my personal experience.
Otherwise its just kill everything in giga spawn areas and hope one spawns, and hope the giga isn't stuck somewhere you can't see it.

Doing a DestroyWildDinos command might help
Good luck
Disabling hibernation was one of the best changes I ever did for my ark experience. It stops areas from being totally dead of life. Sadly, it has the side effect of causing jelly fish to often spawn above water and they instant die, which creates an eye sore.

Not too sure how true that is. I’ve killed dozens and dozen of brontos and rarely see Gigas spawn in most places.
