Clueless about Tamed Dino Stats Per Level settings
My girlfriend and I are playing the Aberration DLC on a private server and we wanted to increase the stats per level up, depending on which stat we invest the point in.

Within our Engine Settings on the server I found the multipliers I needed to change. At this point, I encountered a problem for myself with the calculation of this multiplier. I will give you an example with the stats in the wiki.
________________________________________________________________________

Multiplier set to 1,0

-Ravager Level 1
Base HP: 400HP
Increase per Level Up: 5,4%(of 400HP) = 21,6HP per Level Up

This would lead to the following:

-Ravager Level 2
HP: 421,6HP
________________________________________________________________________

Here is our problem with the multiplier:

Multiplier set to 2,0

-Ravager Level 2
HP: 616HP
Increased by 216HP; 216HP=54%(of 400HP)
________________________________________________________________________

((In a Singleplayer setting I got to a multiplier of 2,308, so it gave the ravager roughly 250HP per Level-Up which is totally fine for our wishes.))

So it didn't multiply the 5,4% of 400HP with 2, but with 10 instead after I set the multiplier to 2. My questions about this would be: What is the calculation of this multiplier and how can I use it or calculate it in order to increase the stat by closely about 250HP per Level-Up as an example?

I really hope this is quite good to understand or to follow and someone has an idea for that since I couldn't find anything that helped me. I am thankful for any advice or any kind of support!

As it depends not only on the type of creature, but also on the distribution of stat emphasize on the creature (you can see this for example with the Super Spyglass), the increase of hitpoints per level are not really fixed.

I'm sure there is a base-hp per creature class + a multiplyer per base-level of the indivdual creature, but these calculations would it really difficult to get an exact amount.

I usually just eyeball it - as the increase not only works for one creature, but for ALL creatures.

Ark smart breeding program let's you input your settings (multipliers), so you can see the points distribution of your tamed dinos.

Edit: also the default multiplier for tamed dino health and damage is less than 1. So just setting the values to 1 is a boost.

@Harl Blabberhoof

First of all, thank you so much for such a quick answer on this topic!

I knew the stats depend on the certain creature, so I simply took the case with the ravager as an example, but it really is a bummer that it is at such a difficulty to calculate this multiplier for a specific amount within the increasing stat. Seems like I would also have to go with the guessing method since I cannot find the calculation I actually need, if there is one at all.

Still, thank you so much for your advice!

@KitsuneShiro

I also thank you for such a quick answer and your advice as well!
I will definitely try that out and see, if I will be able to get inside this!

It doesnt depend only about a creature but also how many points the creature have on said stat.

Ie ravager with 40 points into hp will gain less hp per tick than a ravager with 60 points into hp.

So Im affraid that what you want to do cant be done considering all the species and different points into different stats each dino have

But doesn't a Level 1 ravager have no points on any stat at all? So I could sort of predict or calculate a multiplier to increase the HP by 250, if the first point is given to it?

I'm sorry, if I am not understanding something immediately or if my explanations are a little wild, I just went nuts due to this calculation stuff. But I still am thankful for your opinion as well, @Sarsante!

No, it's not about the amount of levels invested into a special stat, but about the stat distribution of the indiviual creature. Some creatures have 20 points in health, 30 in melee, 76 in food (yeah!). These base values won't change... but if you invest the creatures xp into the separate stats, a creature with an already high stat will gain more of the same xp (or level) investment than a creature with a lower base stat.

E.g. a Ravager, level 10 tamed has a base stat of 20 in health. Another Ravager, level 10 tamed, has a base stat of 25 in health.
Ravager one invests a level into health, gets 250 health added.
Ravager two invests a level into health, gets 320 health added.
(just example numbers, can be totally wrong!)

Add the mod "Super Spyglass" and you can see the stat distribution of your creatures.

Ohhh, gotcha! So it doesn't only vary with the creature and the points by themselves, but it is also about the stat, so it increases more, the more points are spent into it. Did I get that correctly?
Harl Blabberhoof 2018년 2월 20일 오전 6시 43분
Yup... the higher the total stat (base stat + investet stat points) is, the higher is the increase for the next invested point (on this stat).

Alright, so there is a curve for that! Thank you so much, Mr.Blabberhoof! You cannot imagine how much I was swearing about this within my mind. I asked myself "Was ist das für eine verdammte Scheiße?!" which basically translates to "What kind of damned ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this?!" so very often.

Even if I am not able to set a specific amount of points added for every level, I am glad this got solved now and I am thankful for everything!

I know that feeling all too well... currently I'm playing around a bit with spawn probabilities of certain creatures on one of my servers (cause the map only has a low spawn chance for the base creature and for progression you need the apex variant of that creature - which gives these creatures a near zero probability to spawn at all) without getting into overspawn issues...

And I'm glad to read, that steam doesn't censor the good, old "Scheiße" ;-)

If you need some more tips&tricks, feel free to add me - we can also talk in German (but for the sake of this conversation here I stuck to English) :-)

Ugh, that sounds like another giant crap of multiplier guessings... I really hope you will succeed at this problem and of course more smoothly and easily than I did on this thing I had to deal with!

Oh, indeed. I didn't notice that at first! Since it got around the world for some reason, I would have seen it getting censored! :D

That's kind of you, thank you so much! I will definitely keep that in mind! :D
(Oh, you're also one of those who stick to English, if the conversation was mainly set as international content! Nice!)
