Season pass or Explorer's edition

I can't tell what's the difference between the two and what's better to buy

If you already own the base game...nothing.
Explorer's edition has the base game and the Season pass combined, but if you own the base game, steam will discount the Explorer's edition by taking the price of the base game out.

So if you own the base game, both are just you buying the Season Pass

FYI there was another sale item for ps4 and xbox one called "Collector's edition" that included all of the above with a bound dossier book and amulet - for some reason they never made the same thing for PC

I mean unless you want to nitpick that it's not the same because it comes without the game (which shouldn't matter because most PC players that wanted collector's edition already had the game)
