But due to the update processes keep AT LEAST 250GB reserved for the game (even though after the update it doesn't need that much).
My install with all DLC and one custom map and about 15 mods (mostly small ones) is roughly 140GB on the harddisk at the moment.
but you need at least 70 gb free space because steam downloads the compressed version of ark when it will be installed on your pc it will be decompressed

I have all DLC's including Center, Rag, Val and Crystal Isles as well as about 15ish mods, most of the pretty small.
I only have one single player save game going on the island, no other maps have saves atm.
ARK is a ridiculously massive game, I ended up buying a new 1TB SSD just for this game because of it's size.
