To be able to properly update (the game requires a very large amount of space for unpacking updates) I recommend having at least 200 GB free; however, the game itself should install at somewhere some 100GB dependant on DLCs. Hope this helps.

Download size... depending on your enthusiasm for DLC and mods... should be about 80-150GB.
But due to the update processes keep AT LEAST 250GB reserved for the game (even though after the update it doesn't need that much).

My install with all DLC and one custom map and about 15 mods (mostly small ones) is roughly 140GB on the harddisk at the moment.

The Tlc Update was about 7Gs needed but needed about 180g avail to update. Ark pretty much needs a 500G SSD to itself to work well =|

i needed to download 19gb without any dlc
but you need at least 70 gb free space because steam downloads the compressed version of ark when it will be installed on your pc it will be decompressed

its about 26gb with the free dlc maps, it decompresses to about 80gb

168 GB on drive here with all DLC. But the DL was less, it was ~80-100GB iirc...

I miss still 2 DCL's and my game is 257GB, so the best you can do is at least 500GB harddisk

Ark currently takes up 303GB on my computer.
I have all DLC's including Center, Rag, Val and Crystal Isles as well as about 15ish mods, most of the pretty small.

I only have one single player save game going on the island, no other maps have saves atm.

ARK is a ridiculously massive game, I ended up buying a new 1TB SSD just for this game because of it's size.
