yes and tactics
the blue is not the problem with managmar, but yellow, red and purple....
This is with breeding, imprints, good saddles.
i can not build a tek shield
Blue and Yellow can be done with a large selection of dino's, i find a mix of velo's and allo's very enjoyable.
Avoid Purple unless you know what your are doing.
Dino leash, as mentioned above, really helps keep your dino's in check.
Also when learning OSD waves, its best to pick spots where you can funnel waves using the terrain. Yellow and Red can spiral out of control rather quickly when you can't controll the incomming waves. It also helps reduces the micro management of dino's, despite having leashes setup still takes time and micro management, if you only have 3/4 spots where you need to pay attention to.
And last but not least, bred and imprinted dino's is a must for Red and really helps on Yellow, corrupted paracers are quite beefy ><
Boss rexes also work on Yellow (and sometimes red), but there size and turning radius is kind of a downer on the larger waves imo.
blue = 1 bred rex(decent saddle), or 1 high lvl enforcer will do(owl on standby may be needed)
yellow= 1 bred giga(with decent armor)
red= 3 bred giga to cruise thru it(with decent armor)
purple= 12 bred gigas with max armor saddle(the most important part is the saddle) +1 pig you can cruise to round 12, or get to round 30 before you start to feel the pain. add a second pig and you can probably get to 50+ but i find by round 30 i'm extremely bored and all you get is mostly mountains of cryopods.(not worth doing past round 12)
the key to purple, is learn whistle commands, keep a tight formation and put priority on putting all the gigas you can on any alpha rex as they get close but don't let them get to bite distance of orbital.put all the gigas to always follow your ridden one, and you can use your ridden one to block the path of any alpha that gets close.it gets messy, but always keep them surrounding the orbital at the end of each wave, I have them on following but aggressive.
purples are a long time commitment so the only other things you need. 1-2 water canteens, at least 100cooked meats, and something that flys that can carry crazy amounts of weight once you finish the purple.
btw purples don't get harder, they are simply meant to wear you down. i think after round 4-5 is when alphas start, after round 10 all other waves that follow are replicas.The only thing i felt changed was that randomly more or less alpha rex appear.
