SSD ofc.
about 10-20 seconds, mods make no difference
Joining an official server was 12 seconds.
Starting my single player game was 23 seconds.
ARK's Mod loader is part of the problem. It should let you load the mods prior to joing the server like Arma3 and it could be faster. It would have to know what mods were on the server to preload them somehow. Maybe just put all the mods you use in a list to load when you open ARK and then it's good when you join.
I found out when you CrossARK to another map using the same mods, it loads in like 1 minute. But loading into the first map takes me around 5 minutes.
I use 45+ mods that are fine and players don't mind since they can enjoy all the fun. But I had players around 15-20 minutes before and some 5 minutes. So i guess it depends on the clients hardware (SSD, Memory, CPU, Internet Speed) so I'm sure there's alot more to it.
SSD is huge for load times.
Ouch!!
