Are there Wyverns on Ragnarock without DLC?
I only recently just tried out ragnarock and heard there are wyverns on this amazing map but do you need Scorched Earth to have Wyverns in the game? I have both PS4 version and PC.

All creatures from all DLC are available to everyone if you own it or not, the dlc basically gives you a map.

I don't play Rag myself but I believe the answer is yes they are spawning on Ragnarok.

aye, confirmed, one location is north at the volcano, another is south of the green obelisk in a Cave at the beach

Just to help you, there is a green grassland in north east in rag and the wyvern trench is in the border with grassland and volcano(black mountain)

They also spawn down in the southwest in a sort of river/ravine. I also saw one up in the Murdersnow but I don't know if she just wandered up there or if that's a spawn location.

That's the ice wyvern, it spawns and nests there, they're a map exclusive.

He's talking about a different area. Spawns eggs down in the cave there now as well.

He also mentioned the "murdersnow" area, which means Housatonic is correct.

Ice Wyverns are a Ragnarok exclusive Wyvern, which spawn in the Murder Snow area (Murder Murder Snow included! For that extra... murder prefix. Hehe).

Also, there is, as mentioned, the Volcano Wyvern Trench - which is hard to miss once you get there. And there's also the newest Wyvern Bay South of the Green Obelisk. In the bay itself, there is a cave, well hidden, where Wyvern Nests exist and spawns eggs as well, but is (in my opinion) more dangerous to navigate, as it is DARK in there.

So no, you do not need Scorched Earth for the Wyverns to spawn... you only need balls of steel and a Ptera to get yourself one of them eggs. ;)

Wyvern bay.....You will hate that place above all others.

getting eggs out of that cave......You will rather go and clear out the scar and the lava tube with a slingshot before you go willingly into that cave of death.

I think people overexagerate about that place... I stole 3 eggs just losing one argentavis level 42. I died a lot of times but i got 3 wyvern eggs 155 90 and 55. Too easy in fact if you consider that they're giving you the most overpowered creature ingame

The griffin is actually a bit easier for me to use on egg stealing raids. Once you have a good one and level it up with stam and health you can sit on it and use a sniper rifle to lure out wyverns one at a time, fly thru a pillar/gate trap, get them stuck and farm em. If female then KO for the milk. Eventually you'll kill enough to find at least a few unguarded eggs.

And for newer players the ice wyvern nests are probably much easier, only 1 parent guarding most times and that one can be evaded without fighting. Getting the milk is harder but do it ahead and you'll be set to hatch. Just have good fur and soup.
