How to show damage?

so i've seen that some people are able to see damage and and dealt to other things? How do I do this for myself.

This setting just covers the dino in blood when it is damaged
you need to look in the advanced tab when you are in the single player settings then look for the miscellaneous settings and tick the box "show floating damage text"

Does not work on official servers in case you're trying that. Only single player or unofficial (if they have it enabled).

Damage numbers is both a server and client setting, not every server allows it. It's bad for PvP and official servers don't use it.

If you’re on a single player / unofficial / non dedicated server, you can go to advanced settings before hosting, and scroll down to miscellaneous, then, tick the box: floating damage numbers. That should do it. Sorry if I’m wrong.
