How to get silk?

Actually, Spiders don't produce Silk in any possible way in this game. Maybe in other mods or something.

They are found by harvesting dead moths or harvesting certain grass (but only found in newer maps, starting after Scorched Earth).

So basically there is no way to get silk for a desert armor with only the base map?

And loading a new map doesn't erase my save on the island? and can I transfer items between maps?

Desert Armor isnt an item normally available on "The Island".

So you would have to have travelled, or used mods/config, to unlock those engrams already.

Assuming SP? Each map is saved to its own folder.
