Glowtail breeding
Has anyone been successful breeding a glowtail? I've gotten them to hatch, but they don't want to eat on their own.

They'll eat seeds, but their food won't increase. I have to force feed raw meat to see an increase in food.

I've hatched 2 eggs on official yesterday, they've grown up big and strong eating cooked meat. My experience with light pets is that they let their food drop quite low before they eat, but they do eat on their own

Glowtails are carnivores

Thank you both for your suggestions. I tried raw fish meat and it appears to be automatically eating it. Thank you again!

I give meat to all carnivores. Why did you give them seeds? x_X

He gave him seed because they tamed with seeds. But for breeding wiki says after hatching the babys prefer to eat raw fish meat.

But it never worked like that. Carnivores eat meet. Herbivores eat berries. Taming dinos is completely different thing.

How it never worked like that? Apart from kibble, most of them when born eat the same as taming. He thought that, this in a new map with new mechanics and a new dino. He could have looked at wiki before breeding them, to prepare for the babys...

I was the one who added the breeding section to the wiki - there was nothing there before.

Correct, but the Glowtail Baby doesn't care what kind of meat it get's.
It just eats the Fish first cause the Fish has the lowest Nutrition Level.

Taming a dino can be done by using things described on wiki. Sometimes it can be berries, sometimes meat, sometimes kibbles and sometimes completely different things for example black pearls. Feeding a growing dino is completely different thing. As I said before carnivores eats meat. Herbivores eat berries. When they grow up it stays the same. Obviously in many cases you can tame a carnivore with meat and herbivore with berries but not always. Its completely different thing.

All carnivores eat raw fish first if given raw fish and meat, because of what Gran said.

That being said, the wiki is either incorrect or its a game bug, i raised all but shinehorns so far and they all eat meat during the baby stage, dint pay much attention to what they eat when grown though. None of them ate the berries or mushroom i gave them during the baby stage, and those also have a lower nutrition value per item then raw meat if im not mistaken, so yeah either bugged atm or there simply not herbivores :P

Wiki is incorrect regarding what? Oh now I see. "Diet Herbivore" Ye. They eat meat. I breed all lighty dinos and like you said only shinehorns eat berries. If you dont know what dinos eats during growing then put half berries/half meat and wait some time to see what it ate.
