Why are trophies not transferrable?
I dont just mean the Boss heads, but things like Rex arms, Argent talons, Basilo blubber, etcetera. Why are those things untransferrable across servers?

Is there an in-universe reason? Is there some manner of gameplay-related reason? I don't understand the logic to it, especially when Artifacts are transferrable

Different people have given you valid and logical explanations.

It is just the way it is. We can ask similar questions about lots of game mechanics. Why can't boats back up? Etc.

Ark is about choice. Choose to play officials servers with WC designed gameplay and rates. Or, play unofficials with customization and/or mods.
Rafts are wind powered and the sail doesn't turn around do you can only steer with the rudder. That's my best made up explanation for that :P
Anyone has more information about this? like is there an server setting we can enable in our cluster to transfer like spino sails etc? Ragnarok is fun but the spino spawns are broken af.

You would need a mod. You could always just boost spinos spawns. When I played Rag, I added them to the swamp.

Nope, no server setting. I have people drop their items on one map, and use the console to spawn them in on another map in order to "transfer" them.

On a similar note, we've had the boss defeating trophy mountable heads just not sticking around at all on server restarts on Ragnarok, that's even more annoying. Not even a workaround there, as far as I know.

we use a mod called Tribute and Element transfers on our cluster, works like a charm.

As for the reason you can't do it by default, I'm pretty sure it's reasons are pvp. Its much easier in pvp to set up tech at the fob when either element can be transfered, or people can easily transfer tribute items to quickly do a boss fight before the defending tribe knows what is happening.

I originally responded to this, saw the necro and pulled it. But Lord Chaos is right. It really should be a server option.

In my case it's a mod that uses megalania toxin, which I have to bring through my cluster but cannot. So I have to duplicate the mod requirements in 2 maps - and can then use/transfer the finished product through the cluster anyway.
I kinda agree/kinda dont.
The mechanic itself is working as intended. You're not supposed to be able to transfer element or trophies.

And pple Have options to get around it.

Thats the thing, the "mechanic" only makes sense on official. Yes, you can put in a heavy loeading mod, that creates more load time, longer maintainance, bigger risk of errors, just to fix a single thing that should really be a single option.

Its not only official... its game progression. You're supposed to re-aquire them to do the boss fights on the various maps... not farm them on the the most convenient.

Yes, a toggle would be nice.... but its definately not necessary or game breaking to not have.

Ooh, I agree with the reasoning, but it would make a nice checkbox option not to have to "get around it" - which is what Chaos asked for. Are we not allowed to ask for nice things? :)
ill put it in the same WC "ToDo" list as fully functional mmo chat window options :/

Oh ... and their promise to add .ini lines to turn off the flyer nerf lol... that disappeared with the appearance of CF

Megalania Toxin is a pain to farm on the Island (for the Megapithecus boss) but so easy to farm for it on Ragnarok.

Guess they do not want to you farm the parts on one map and then do a boss on another map.

P.S. Anyone found a good place to farm Megalania Toxin on the island? Most caves are lucky if they have one Megalania. If you breed Megalania, does killing them give toxin?
If u need megalania toxin u can just tame a male and some female so u can breed them and then incubate the eggs on the map where u want to summon the boss, when the eggs are done just see the inventory of all babies and you'll find 2 toxin per baby then u can just kill them or raise them if they are female
