Getting way worse performance than i should
So, after looking for a solution for a week and not finding anything helpful, i decided to ask here.

I upgraded to a RX6600 from my old GTX 960 about 2 weeks ago, and i had some problems with it underperforming in some games where it really shouldnt, but i could fix most of those issues by just reinstalling the game (GTAV for example).

Now i started a new Ragnarok non-dedicated server with a friend, and im getting like 30-50 fps on every setting range from medium to ultra with no noticable difference.
I tried reinstalling the game but that didnt fix it.

I played around with the setting for a while, and noticed that the only settings that affect my fps in any way are general shadows, and distance field shadowing. If i turn these completely off i have my normal 71 fps and everything is fine, wich i find rather strange because changing any other setting like textures to ultra or low doesnt affect it in any way.
Its also worth noting that i always get worse fps when looking in a certain direction (so far tested on the island and ragnarok and both seem to be dipping to 30-40 when looking towards the middle of the map, altough rag seems to be generally worse (like 10fps) on average).
I have completely perfect performance when im in a cave, wich doesnt surprise me at all though tbh.

There is no difference in performance when i play singleplayer compared to non-dedicated.

I looked around for some general problems with the GPU and found that amd cards seem to have problems with games that arent on DirectX12 or Vulkan, and thought that there was no solution to that problem then, but yestarday i played some GTA, and noticed that it also is running on DX11, and i dont have any problems there, so i tested some other games (assetto corsa and starwars battlefront 2) and i dont have any major problems there either.

Now i should not that i probably played with distant shadows off and general shadows on low when i had my 960, so i cant tell if its a problem with the GPU or not, but it really should be able to handle ark on high settings without a problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Found out the problem a while ago but thought id post it in case somebody runs into the same problem:
Its just the hosting a dedicated server part that drops the fps.
If you host a dedicated server, your GPU isnt trying enough for whatever reason.
I tested this with a friend and he had the same problem too when he was hosting, while my GPU was howling like a plane, so its just a host problem.

Runs even worse on ASM so that's not it. It's just a very demanding game + poorly optimized.

Oops sorry i meant non-dedicated.
I was hosting non dedicated sessions for a long time but didnt notice any difference because my old gpu was pretty bad, but now its pretty obvious that thats the reason.
I think the gpu would be able to run it smoothly if it was "allowed" to but it stays at 50-60% usage in non dedicated so it has to be some coding error or optimization issue.
