Easter event early?
So I host my own server that myself and a few others play on. I noticed today that many of the dinos are very colorful. But the easter event announcement says april 11-25. NOT today. Also, I thought running a private server I would need to add the event command to my server setup, which I have NOT done.

Event commands are largely legacy and have not been required for years now.
Events are added, and removed, through game patches. The only event command that really reliably works is the one to disable all events.

So if you dont want events... Run that permanently in your setup and remove it when you wish to participate.

Gotcha. Guess that clears up most of the confusion, except for the fact that the announcement states it starts on the 11th. lol But thanks for the info.

The same has happened on our Primal Fear Cluster, we did not start any event (like zerassar said, no need) but for some reason it started anyway. We were having Bunny dodos and Bunny Oviraptor on our maps and if any players was getting close to them they crashed. PF said it was not them that caused it.

We were able to get rid of them by adding activeevent=none in the launch option for each map. That fixed our problem until who ever caused it fixes it.

And you are correct, the Easter event does not start before April 11th.

I thought that was an april fools event.

I found the cutest pink and green Karikaru penguin and tried to tame it, but died to the cold while swimming around looking for fish. So I guess the evil ****ing pink and green penguin won.
