Deathworm question

I need a few horns but i have 0 idea about how to kill one on these sand worms, i have level 94 and thinking to try with fire wyvern, but not too sure, any suggestion?

A Megatherium is a good tame to use. Kill a few bugs before hand to get the buff going strong [they get a buff for killing bugs, HUGELY increasing damage to bugs] and if your dude is a good level, shouldnt have to much trouble killing Deathworms.

So far, I've killed 2 in my single player game. First was with a lightning wyvern, and took quite awhile, and the wyvern came out in rough shape. Second was a couple days later, with the same lightning wyvern, plus 3 others (2 fire, and a second lightning). Fight was over much faster, but I lost both fire wyverns.

A good high level Wyvern should be able to easily solo a deathworm. I've never tried the Megatherium. But it makes sense in theory. I may try it later today. Alpha Deathworm is a different story. Those things hurt.

Dude use 3 rexes. On SE you can tame them near green oby. Ride one rex set the other two to attack your target. Now go to 10 17 and just run around there for a bit. you will get a lot of worms and maybe even a alpha worm. We farm worms up there all the time for black pearls.

Im on the island and with rex spawn blocked

Then why ask on deathworms? They do not naturally spawn on the map, so you would have to be using a mod that adds them into the map. If thats the case then a wyvern is your best option.

I have the mod "Scorched earth plus" and for my personal challenge i need the horns, that why im asking it...

i agree with neller a decent fire wyvern can kill normal deathworms pretty easily wouldnt recommend using them for a alpha deathworm though

Mmm... i guess with my level 23 (hatched at level 3 and just leveled stamina) wont work...

i wouldnt risk it been a while since it happened to me but its possible for them to trap your wyvern with there heads and they do pack one hell of a punch especially with wyverns not having saddle armor

Yeah, and i think im going to do another rush to there if i can get a female one, since i have no luck, 4 wyverns, all males XD

Sounds similar to my luck. In total, I've hatched 8 wyverns so far in my single-player game, and have only gotten one female.

mines opposite got 17 females and 6 males

Get a Lightning Wyvern (make sure you get a high level egg), and just fry it :)

You could do it using fire arrows and fire tar traps. Look it up on YouTube

You basically lay the tar/oil pits and light them. Then get the worm to rise up through the fire setting it alight and taking alot of damage.
