ARK is visually frozen until i alt + tab out and back in

Hi all i am experiencing a problem since release of ark. It starts up fine but none of the menu items will highlight if i click options i have to alt + tab out and back in for it to show the options menu likewise for the server listing i have to alt + tab out and back in for it to show me the servers. If i join a server i have to turn alt + tab out and in for it to show that my character has turned in game. i have 1600+ hours in the game so i know my pc can run the game. does anyone have any suggestions?

list of things i have tried:

1. Verify game files
2. Reinstalling the game twice
3. Formatting my pc

I`m not sure, if i understand the problem correctly.

Your Menu is there, but you can`t use it? Did you try changing the Resolution and / or UI Size?

If it`s just completely frozen it sounds more like your RAM might have broke at some point. Other then that i can`t see, why it was fine before release but not after, since dx12 is not fully operational yet.

Alternatively, did you try cycling trough the Fullscreen and Fullscreen Windowed mode? I know, that Notifications can stop your game Window from being Highlighted, which might be why it works again after Alt + Tab.

Hi the menu is there I can use it but it feels like the screen is not refreshing so everything changes if I click menu it will go into the menu but in order for it to show on my screen that it is in the menu I have to tab out and back in if I change an option I have to tab out and in to show that the setting has been ticked or changed to low high or medium basically my screen is static even the visuals in the back don't move when I load into a server if I click I can hear my character punching and moving around but visually I don't see it I have to tab out and in for my screen to refresh and show that I have moved. The game is not frozen as such its just what's on my screen. Every other one of my games work fine

I have solved this issue. it has nothing to do with your pc or actual game it self.

I have unsubscribed from every single mod and hard deleted them off my pc including the ragnarok and the center maps and now all of a sudden it works.
