Change Map to Scorched Earth?

Hey guys,

We need help with our Server. We used to play on TheIsland fo around 6 months, later we changed it to TheCenter.
But we wanna play on Scorched Earth now. We changed the Map in the Serverfiles to "ScorchedEarth_P" - but nothing. Anybody just got another idea?

Mmm first time i heard that, changing the name, don't change your map, you have saved files of all the maps or sessions you play. You have tu upload your character in a obelisk or tek transmitter, exit the game to the menu, and then when you enter select scorched earth map and start with your character uploaded. Also if you don't have Scorched Earth you can't play this map..i think this is obviusly

So ofc we have bought the SE Expansion. But we NEED to upload a charakter to change the Server Map? This doesn't make any sense to me

If you want play with the same character and levels, tribe...yes, if not you can enter a new map, new character and new save game, if you do that, next time you enter in the island you have the old character in the island, and the new character in scorched, like i said you have saved files for every session and map, but if you upload the character in obelisk and start new map with the character upload, you can have saved files of all the mapes you played with the same character. Hope this help and sorry for my bad english.

We want to start a new Game (or better we r forced to to that). But we CAN'T start a new game on SE. Even after we changed the Map to Scorched Earth we alwyas starts on The Island.

Well if I wanted to change it on mine that's what I would have to do...So tbh not sure why it's not working. I use hosthavoc

it worked when we changed it to TheCenter, but not to Scorched Earth. So, I guess we r doing right.

Probably need to change the server command line. Most hosts provide a method to do that.
