How do I find my IP?

I need my IP adress of my non-dedicated server, but I don't know where to find it/get it? Can anyone PLEASE help???? Much appreciated/Much love/Much gracias

Whatismyip.org will show you your public IP, but you have to tell your modem/router to let ark communicate through it.

Correct, I am wanting others to connect to me. Also, how do I tell my modem/router to let ark communicate through it?
P.S. I'm trying to have my brother join through his mac, to clarify. Not that (hopefully) that (hopefully) matters at all (hopefully) (did I say hopefully yet/correctly?, lol.), but yeah.

Is it non-dedicated? If so you shouldn't need to forward any ports. The simplest method is to invite him through your Steam friends list. Once you are in game open up your Steam friends list and right click his name and select "Invite to Game". That should start up his game for him and put him in the game with you when he accepts.

Unfortunately, the problem was that when I invited him, it would always time out or not work. Also, my server is not in the server list for him, however some random guy was able to join it the other day as I was on it.

Is it dedicated or non-dedicated?

Password protect it so random people can't join.

My bad I thought I answered that, but I guess not. It is dedicated. Also, I don't really have a problem with random people joining, I just said that to make the point that random people can join, but my brother can't. I really just want to play though, so if you could help me that would be awesome! :)

If random people can join I would guess that the ports are forwarded properly and the server is working just fine.

To keep random people out, password protect it.

As for your brother, I don't know. Maybe because he is on mac? macs don't play nicely with this game. Plus I just saw someone yesterday complaining because the lates update hadn't come out for mac yet.

And I believe as of now the updates are synced, as my brother installed the latest update today, when we were trying to play together AGAIN. It didn't work btw, obviously but that was hours ago. So yah.
