ARK Server Manager: waiting for publication
I am setting up a ARK server for TheIsland map, did everything with ARK Server Manager but when I click starts the console and displays the server has started but in ARK Server Manager it says status: waiting for publication. I port forwarded both 7777 and 27015 ports which I am using in the StartServer bat file as Port and QueryPort

You also need to forward the 7778 port.

Except if using RAW Sockets you only need to forward the Serverport and the Queryport for UDP. Stop spreading nonsense Information.

@jordi sometimes if the WAN.IP changed and you didn't told ASM to reload it in the UI (Upper Row, middle part) ASM tries to find the server on the old WAN.IP.

Also still the same, I have had servers for multiple games and all working. Still getting waiting for publication

If you're setting up a server to play only with friends thats not a problem.

This status means the server its not showing up ingame servers list but your friends can join if you give them the ip.

If you havent rebooted in awhile, try that. I've noticed the msg a few times when there were steam updates or steam had server issues. Rebooting would reconnect to the steam server and do any updates if needed.

Waiting for publication isn't a problem. Mine says that quite often yet we can still join it.

Sorry I do not have an answer to fix your problem though.

If you didn't run ASM with Administrator Privileges it might be a problem with the firewall.
If you use an antivirus software with an build-in Firewall it might be those.
If you're on a router behind another router you need to forward the ports on the other Router too.
or your ISP might be using a Dual-Stack Lite setup to emulate IP v4 over IP v6, happen a lot in Europe these days.
At least one other User (East-Europe) had an ISP that blocked UDP Ports (to figure that out took quit some time^^)

as you see there are a few point of failure, hard to tell which one it is.

I had this and fixed it by running the executable for ARK Server Manager as an adminstrator. There is an option in the properties under compatability to ensure it always runs as the adminstrator.

Here's a confusing delima: I am using the most current A.S.M. (as of 3-25-2018)...one profile starts with no issues at all. A second profile refuses to start (just says "waiting for publication". No changes in ports...ip...or general settings. In fact, thoe only difference between the two profiles is one is for Ragnarok, the other is the Island. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Waiting for publication does not mean it didn't start, the server is running.

Does anyone know a way to keep the server UP? When no players are on the server it stays up, but sort of crashes.

Users are not able to connect (lan or online) and stopping the server and restarting seems to get things up again.

Thanks!

Unless there is a problem with the computer it should stay up all the time with no issues.
