I'm afraid not. Once you set up a base with a smithy and forge, you can spend the night crafting (lots of xp).

Spend days gathering and taming, nights building and crafting stuff for XP

You can adjust your gamma in options menu I like to set up two buttons on my keyboard that I don't use to turn it up and down really helps you can see at night

I just set my night time speed to go by 6 times faster. I can do a few things around the base and it's daylight pretty quickly. And if I'm exploring an unknown area I just try to land a flyer on a high up piece of land that looks like no dinos can climb and wait it out.

I do have the DayTImeSpeedScale set to .33 also, I like long days and short nights in my games lol

If you are playing single player, you can speed up the night so it passes VERY quickly in your settings. If you are playing on a server, then you are stuck playing through the night, or log out until the night is over.
just turn up night speed in settings
