metal held inside of ankylosaurus inventory disappeared

i was getting my ankylosaurus to carry some metal for me on the way back to my base, but when i get there the metal had disappeared from his inventory. im playing on singeplayer with no mods installed, can i get this metal back and how?

You could just cheat the metal back in, if you know roughly how much you had. Cheating to fix a bug/error dosnt really seem like cheating. "cheat gfi MetalIngot 300 0 0" will command in 300 cooked metal.

edit: I mistakenly gave the code for cooked metal.

if it's gone it's gone.. but you can spawn some

open console and type

cheat gfi PrimalItemResource_Metal 1 1 0 <-- First number is amount
