Easy Island is Insane

I have played Ark a lot and almost every map. Balance is always Key for the Ark maps and at Lost Island the Balance seems broken.

Why are there on a easy start point beach: A T-Rex, and ALpha Raptor and a Raptor Pak. You can't fight them, because you just start. But the worst thing is, they remove all the utility dino's from the map. So finally getting started and I have to move, because I can't beat them there is nothing I can do.

I will manage, but it's no fun.

That can happen on any map, as the predators will chase prey down to the beaches. Easy on Ark has never meant safe, just safer. It happens, we've all been there and had to pick another spawn or lure the predators away.

And what do you mean they've removed all the utility dinos? What are you even talking about??

Yeah I had an alpha wander up to my beach thatch shack literally on stilts in the water, it's pretty standard. Moving is your best defense

That might just be bad luck with spawns. I know on the original island ive had spawns with raptor packs, carnos, or even a rex coming out of the forest right as I start, scorched earth was notorious for being mauled by terror birds every 3-5 minutes when you first started, and I distinctly recall a few times I loaded into Ragnarok only to be greeted by a giga because I prefer highlands over viking bay spawns and just accepting my impending doom. It is simply not possible to punch enough dodos fast enough to do anything about the 2 ton murder lizard bearing down on you when you start.

but wasn't it always like this.
Rex at the cove at ragnarok, baselisk at easiest starting area of aberration. The "easy"swamp in genesis 1 is harder as most lava areas inclusive the one from genesis 1.

i recommend: use console commands in singleplayer if this happens.
Use a raft when console commands are not available.

Thanks for your reactions. I was Arked. I mean, I know it's bad luck. But is was not stopping. but thats also Ark. Thats why I can't stay Away.

I tried a span in medium, and terror birds killed me even before the starting animation was done haha.

I moved now to a very secure place, all top left. But it sucks, because everything is far away, And more traveling means more distractions. And more distractions is..... succes... but mostly DEAD! :D

If the normal vanilla game is too hard you can always make it easier. Welcome to Ark.

You don't really get my point. I play hard, after 1500hours single play you don't have to be smart and say welcome to Ark.

I started 3 times over and all the tree times there were Alpha Raptors on the beach. What means all dino's are killed, what means in the beginning it takes 20 minutes yo find a parasaurus. I never experient somethings like this. For the gameplay this is just not balanced.

But no worries, I will manage and get overt this. I like the Map a lot, brings me back to my first time on the Island....
