Argentavis hardly laying eggs
Hello,
I have 4 mate boosted female argentavis which are also boosted by an oviraptor, and I can play an hour without having any egg. What am I doing wrong?
Same with my raptor which almost never lay eggs.

First, are you nearby? They won't lay unless you are in the area. Second, are you running an SS or S+ item collector with snow owl pellet collection? If so, turn off pellet collection.

Sometimes I go gar away from my base, but even when I stay in for a long time, they don't lay. I have got 3 eggs from these argies after hours of playing. And I don't use any s+ collector

For some reason that does happen from time to time. Sooner or later they should start laying again. I can't think of any other reasons.

Yeah it uses REALLY wide random variation. Should plan on like 10+ dinos to get any steady influx of eggs. I'm doing Iguanadons on Ab without Oviraptors and ouch it's bad.

And I'm pretty sure they don't lay the proper amount when you pop back and forth to base. Like it doesn't properly interpolate the rate on load.

Now that I think about it I bet they just do a roll upon load assuming roll cooldown is expired (otherwise you could just generate infinite eggs by going in and out of render).

But in reality they should be doing 3ish rolls since with oviraptor and mate the cooldown is 11 minutes and eggs expire in 30.

Are you playing single player? If so, turn the egg lay interval up via the setting on the advanced tab.

building or demolishing near them helps build simple thatch structure near them and tear it down piece by piece my old kibble farm was built before base and as building it the egg production seem to increase on the yuti and rex eggs also wanna say this method is good for snow owl pellets but been awhile since i needed pellets but just being near them is helpful as well also more females lol

the dinos have and show timers for when they are ready to breed again. Are you saying the timer is out and still not breeding? You arent giving much info.

His post was perfectly understandable. He's talking about the non fertilized egg laying rate, the kind that you collect over time to make kibble.

Same with my raptor which almost never lay eggs.

Mate boosted dinos have a change of laying egg every 17 minutes if they are rendered.
With oviraptor its 11 minutes. Average dino species change of laying egg is 6% for every 11 minutes. Dodos have 13%.

However you can trigger egg check by going in and out of rendering range constantly.
Otherwise i am afraid that you wont be getting many eggs from 4 argies.

And quick note, it is also commonly claimed that dodo egg-laying is tied to their poop timer instead.

hey kiddo it has no mention of UNFERT eggs. There is plenty not explained or clear but you can assume what you may think he means but that doesnt make it clear. I dont fill in blanks in hopes of getting a clear description but you do you kiddo. L2Read. ANY EGG he states VERY clearly.

Hehe reading comprehension recommendation from someone who complains of a lack of explicit details. I enjoy irony :-) Anyone who has played the game and collected unfertilized eggs and who has the reading comprehension of a middle schooler doesn't need any additional details to know exactly what he's talking about. Child.

And all that is of course aside from the fact that the accumulation of fertilized eggs when used for Kibble is abysmally slow, at least at default rates.

so child....i know your generation is full of assuming but mine is not. Use English to explain in detail or you get questions. That is how life works, you might learn that one day. This is not a skill you will learn on tik tok or being fake woke. So when someone says EGGS I hear EGGS.

Assumptions are a natural part of thinking. No one else needs things explained in such detail. If you cannot make the natural assumptions that everyone makes on a regular basis, that is an indication of brain damage, specifically autism. Welcome to the club.. Seek help.
