Can't tame otter.

We have tried every fish and we can't get the otters eat. We don't even get the option to feed it.

Yes. Except it doesn't give me the option to press E. it just tells me to drag a fish to it even when I have one right in its face.

not sure then. maybe taming cap on your server is full?

Like all passive tames from the rear works better, only tamed one and the hit box is quite small.

We've done it yesterday with a level 35 otter on TheIsland and it worked perfectly fine.
Killed a sabertooth salmon, dragged it to the otter and fed it.

Go on another server official or unofficial or both(unofficial probably would be easier if you get on a fast leveling one) and test if you can tame an otter.

If others on that server can but you cant, then you know there is something specific to you that isnt working.

If you can, then you know it is something specific to your server(for example if you have put conflicting mods or settings up)

Maybe its aggroed to something and it's not resetting? Might be a visual bug than that you still see the feeding option, but the game has him as running away.

That's one thing Im thinking they're doing wrong hence why I suggested their visiting other servers to see if it works or doesnt to by process of elimination figure out the true source of the issue.

Did you test on another server like I recommended? You need to find the source of the issue(either on yourside or your server's side). Until you take steps to do that, you're probably just going to go round in circles.

Actually they can flee and aggro. These can both be caused by a player attacking them. If they glitched and the server has not reverted them back to their passive state they we'll be untameable.

I suggest you follow Retsams suggestion to try to determine the source. Until you collect more information we can't help you

I looked this up because I was having trouble taming one, always have, had never accomplished it. For me, I had to strafe from side to get the fish to ragdoll completely out of the way. I know the last post was almost a year ago, but just in case anyone comes across this like I did. I couldn't get the Feed Fish option to appear unless the fish was nearly entirely out of my field of vision.
