Scorched Earth: How do you make a dunes house not kill you?
Just got the season pass yesterday and started playing on scorched earth, and I decided to make a house in the dunes (I have yet to die from a deathworm, somehow). But every time I go inside I start overheating, even while wearing full desert cloth armor (one piece is ascendant, even. Not to mention another is mastercaft). Is there any way you can make houses in the dunes not kill you? I built with stone, would adobe be smarter? I'm not quite at the level of building air conditioners yet and I hope there's an alternative. Thanks in advance.

as I understand it, Adobe is specifically designed to insulate you against that problem.

I'll try that out, thanks.

Yes you need to build in adobe. Having stone or even wood almost anywhere on that map will cause you to overheat. Metal will do that as well. If you are worried about durability though you can encase your adobe with a stronger material around it for protection. Fortitude also makes a difference but not much when it comes to bases made of anything other than adobe in scorched.

ghillie armour or desert cloth armour (i wear full ascendant ghillie suit)
thatch or adobe structures

what you can do is make a base inside a base. i have my adobe base build inside a metal base, so i got the metal to protect me, and still the insulation bonus from adobe

also having points in fortitude is useful
i have 30 fortitude, and with my armour i don't even overheat in the desert during a heatwave

also some advice:

NEVER SPRINT sprinting causes stamina to drain quickly, and thus draining your water quickly

during a sandstorm JUMP AND SPRINT the faster your stamina run out (and stays out) the longer your water will last because stamina does not recover during sandstorm

While I was building a large adobe house on my argent it would appear that I trapped my argent inside. I am smart.

Adobe, greenhouse glass and thatch are the only things that insulate on that map, I think tek might too now, the rest of the buildings your basically making a oven
