Player/Dino speed glitch.
As the title states, when a friend or I, on a mount of just ourselves, when we move in to the water we just take off at crazy speeds. We have our own server, non-dedicated server and we don't know what causes this.. On land we are fine, when we go in the water or take a dino in water we take off really realy really fast.

We also dont know what caused it and why....

One time i was riding a dino to park it back at base (our base is near water) and it got sent flying into the air... The dino i was on nearly died from fall damage... :steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm: :\

Great

Just dismount before hitting the ground and they wont take damage.

I am sure I figured it out.. I copied the files from the non-dedicated and moved it over to the Ark Server Manager.. The issue is gone.. No mods or anything on Non-dedicated as well and no mods on Ark Server Manager. It looks like it's a issue with the Non-Dedicated Servers. Characters super fast, animals super fast but when on ASM, No longer fast and broken, I go back to Non Dedicated, it's broken again..

No, I definitely checked that real fast when I read up on it.. Though like I said, switching to ASM fixed everything which is weird.

it is weird, but i wonder if you were to go without asm again would the problem come back, my concern, is pretty much, asm being a temp fix, until its removed, imo i would normally like to know what caused it so i could fix it, and not rely on some server manager,

Well I know the server manager is here to say as long as Ark is here. That I am sure of, though to be honest, might be something to try out for yourself, my friend. I mean I am flipping back and forth and nothing really changes. Non dedicated my dinos are like the flash in water and ASM they are normal and I made sure all the settings were the same as close as possible..

I will drop the message here and hope other people will see this if they find the same issue again. I've also bumped into a glitch like this with Bronto out-speeding speed boats like crazy.
The culprit is the Tether Host Distance. If you put it too high, it will glitch the oxygen stats of small land dinos. (see the screenshot below for the correct stats)

Oh wow, yeah, we put it up pretty high because for some reason, we get teleported from across the map to the host. This has it to where we can't even go in to caves, it teleports us out. Any reccomendations on that?

yeah the reason this happens is because host teather distance. as u increase the teather distance, swim speed increases too, (i dont understand why though)

Oxygen, upgrade oxygen once and it get's way too much speed on non-dedicated server's. It also occasionally happen's on in the wild tamed dino's, however I do not believe there is a fix. Kinda sucks :/
