Annunaki Genesis and Custom Map Mods
If I'm playing on a custom map mod such as Olympus or The Iles, will the custom dinosaurs from certian mods be able to spawn just like all the other vanilla dinos will? For example, will wyverns/griffins spawn on the custom map just like they do on the official maps?

Yes, but certain maps get a bit wonky when spawning modded dinos and you might find "starter" zones no longer safe because they get overrun. Really just depends on the map. I know Ragnarok, for instance, doesn't play well with Extinction because of the higher tier tribesmen that spawn near beaches and islands. It comes down to what biome spawn points the map has set vs which modded dinos spawn in those biomes.

What if they map doesn't have vanilla biomes?

Every map uses the same spawners. Just because the biomes look differently, you can have "volcano" spawns or "snow spawns" or "beach spawns" somewhere that's not a volcano, snow, or beach biome. I don't know the full details of how spawners work, but yes, core mods will spawn their dinos regardless of the map you're using. As mentioned before though, certain maps will spawn things weird due to custom spawn points/atypical spawn points.

From the title of your thread, I can assume you're wanting to play Annunaki Genesis. Which map mod are you thinking of using?

I have like 80 mods installed. Annunaki Genesis will definitely be at the top of my mods list, but I also have mods for other dinos that are unique. For example, griffins, wyverns, special robotic ones from the mod called Prometheus.

I'm just worried that I will have installed and activated mods that if they don't spawn their dinos it will be just space on my load order and will increase fps load.

The map I was looking into was called, um, Anzah.

What do you think?

do you plan on running all those mods together?

Yes.

Something like that.

I can tell you this. On their own, those mods can spawn on any map. Every map/ additional dino/core mod should have spawners that work together so that you can play them together. The issue will be dependent on if your other additional dino mods will play well together.

Sometimes, especially with core mods, you have to have them loaded first, so multiple things that load first won't work. Also keep in mind that any dino mods that are loaded first will overwrite everything after them. For instance, you can run Extinction and ARK Eternal together, but the dino behavior from Eternal will be replaced with the dino behavior from Extinction.

As for additional dino mods that just add additional dinos, those should be fine since they don't require a certain place in the mod list, they just add dinos to the map's spawn list. Also, are wyvern/griffin mods necessary? Most mod maps include spawners for map specific dinos.

I'm relatively new to Ark. I wasn't sure whether or not the griffin and the wyvern were added through mods or whether they were vanilla. There are probably a lot of mods on that list that aren't necessary. I pretty much just went through the workshop and added mods that I thought were cool. After I'm done adding them, I'll probably just go through them all and remove the ones that I won't really need.

I'd check the mod map's description, most use all spawns, not just vanilla, which means griffins and wyverns are included.
