How WC manages to stay in business is amazing.
First response: Stay silent. Second response: Call it a feature. Third response: Lock the thread.
@Devs that is a bug!!!!!!!!!!
The bug does not occur if playing on a dedicated server.
Your PC's performance will usually improve even if you run a dedicated server and the Ark client on the same PC.
Running a dedicated server is easy if you use Ark Server Manager, if you can follow their instructions. https://arkservermanager.freeforums.net/thread/5193/downloads
You can, of course, run a dedicated server without it, if you're playing on a PC and know how to do it.
Eventually you will run out of resources. Metal, oil, etc you can recoup some via the TEK dinos but.. Crystal. Have fun playing the game without any of that when you need Tek.
the entire WC response has been comical. A couple years ago there was another outcry and their community manager at the time was telling people that was the way it was supposed to be to prevent people from having too much metal lol. Like you can't change it to instantly respawn, or give yourself 5billion metal with an admin command. I mean if WC is just going to make up lies and call it a feature at least think what you are going to tell people through first haha.
Someone on the official forums was saving the -preventhibernation only has the ability to affect the dinos. the rest of the world doesn't go into stasis.
Basically user error at this point of Ark's life
Yeah you must wait for respawn before you leave the game.
"Community Manager Jennifer Stuber, on the other hand, responded to a post over on Twitter requesting to fix some single player issues in the game specifically the resource nodes and cave spawns not popping up after players exit “ARK” before they actually respawned.
Stuber pointed out that it is not a bug adding that it prevents other Survivors from restarting the game just to get infinite loot/resources."
i want some level of timer, so i do .5 and just make sure i go get my resources first thing when i start a session. usually 24 in-game hours means everything is back.
