Mantis and Basilisk tames on Genesis Part 2?

Assuming you can't get either of their taming items on this map, I'm gonna take a guess and say you can't tame them.

Has anyone found anything differently? Is there a different type of egg from the new creatures that can be used towards basilisks? What about mantis? Any items to tame that?

i can't tell anything about the basilisk but mantis eat rhino horns too i think

Unless they changed it mantis have never taken rhino horns.

This is very incorrect. Mantis has taken rhino horns in place of deathworm horns for years now, as it also spawns on maps that do not have Deathworms.

weird..none of the taming calculators mention the use of any other horn but deathworm. And after doing some searching even as far back as Valguero there was no other option to tame them except deathworm horns. Please show me where in the changelogs it says you can tame them with anything other then that.

Even on Crystal Isles and on posts as of February this year rhino horns were still not a valid option.

if you are on your own server just add the valguero dino extension mod. it puts rock drakes in the game. easy eggs.

Isnt it easier and not the point just to make a ForceTamed?

But you are adding mods to your game so its basically the same but with more steps.

I do know what those are, if its not vanilla might as well admincheat it.
