genesis 2 textures not loading

For some reason on this map only my textures are soft and unloaded. Anyone know how to fix this?

how much ram you got?

i've noticed this more so with gen 2 and i think i know why. gen 2 is a memory hog. it fully saturates my 16gb and causes texture load in issues as well as frame drops while loading in biomes

Yeah I have 16 gigs too. Any idea on how to fix it? Ive walked around for 10 minutes and it still stays unloaded for whatever reason

reduce background processes like softwares, chrome tabs etc

but ultimately more ram will likely be needed. i do have another 16gb still in box but my damn water cooling pump blocks one ram slot and i just couldn't sleep with 3 sticks installed lmao. might have to get some larger dimms i think

If thats the case how in the HELL is this meant to run on an xbox one from 8 years ago lmao

anyone have a link to buy the game on steam there site is not showing any option to buy it. been looking since yesterday and reloaded steam several times. there is no way for me to purchase

because they dumb the game down to run on inferior hardware.. if you are running high settings i suggest turn them down a notch or 2. i will be doing so which goes against everything i stand for! lol

I have a m.2 ssd and 32gigs ram, the new minimum system reqs are alot higher for genesis 2. from what i understand its a known issue that gen 2 is using more ram then required.

Im hoping this in an issue that they address soon, Wildcard is synonymous with bad launches lmao. Then again, with my beast pc i still get 30 frames on the ocean map in genesis part 1 for some reason... unless I stare at the ground for thirty seconds lmfao.

mind if i ask what your specs are? i don't doubt you have a decent pc but just for clarity ya know.. i've seen people refer to gen 4 intel with a gtx 970 as BEAST PC and it's just not lol

i understand peoples frustrations with ark performance. i still expect better than 60fps with an 8700k and gtx 1080ti but i mean ark is bloddy massive and ambitious. theres so much going on that i kinda understand why it runs the way it does

I dont remember how to check the specs on steam but I believe ive got a 1070ti and an amd ryzen 7 8 core processor, as well as the 16 gigs of Ram. the confusing part to me is that i can run any other map without this issue.

restarting worked for me. and i was streaming it on discord at the start, before i restarted the game entirely. was changing between every setting from normal to epic. using the graphic presets helped to change some stuff at first, but textures were still not loading, and restarting the game fixed it.

However I'm on 32 GB ram so your experience may indeed be connected to ram as it used about 19 GB for me. But just my 2 cents.
