Is the Maewing really all that good as a utility tame? If it doesn't imprint, i don't really see the point. It basically a trough that flies, which is pointless because when do we ever move tames when we are raising them? And if you really need to move them, you will obviously use a cryopod. Am i missing something?

the nanny is kinda hack i guess. maybe its for people that play on vanilla settings or servers.

For that early baby stage it has some additional function but once they reach juvi age the trough would keep them fed anyways. Needless to say, i am bit disappointed with them.

Maewing is broken at the moment. It can go underwater really fast and not use oxygen. You can glide it across the map if you start with some height and keep it as level as possible.

It feeds babies so you save food on some of those rare items (Wyvern milk, nameless poison, ambergris). It also can carry materials since it has a decen wight growth.

Its really fast for a glider, like a cheap Rock Drake which makes it good for aberration since it can super jump and escape hard areas. Will test later to steal some rock drake eggs to see if its better than a Managarmr.

Its the cutest thing.

It’s great for stealing babies... Maewing + dino babies mod = totally OP. I just walked past a level 300 baby Rex, picked it up and now I have a perfect tame 450 Rex...

It just feeds them and only while they are baby, you will need a feeder once it becomes juvenile.

The nanny is quite the OP thing, hence why it is only a mod.

Maewing its a good middle ground, at least you know they wont starve.
