Federation Exo Armor - way too OP

pls tell me, we are not the only ones...

We started a Genesis Part 2 server, and "woohoo" instant TEK (Exo) Armor.
But for real...is it intended that u have a Tek Armor without the need for element??
It says "Skin" but it has armor, and is fully usable...
It makes everything way too easy

That's not a bad idea. but, until then we wont know if it's a bug or not that all the suit abilities are working without element until they drop a patch for some reason. feels like a bug to me. But, I traded that armor for shadowmane...... so much more fun to get around with it then the armor any day. Top fav mount for me just because of how it gets around even take some learning to know how to jump to land where you want to.

I agree this makes half of the dinos and items totally obsolete. it doesn't help how most missions don't let you use your own gear or dinos, so the overworld feels like a pointless sandbox.

I agree this makes half of the dinos and items totally obsolete. it doesn't help how most missions don't let you use your own gear or dinos, so the overworld feels like a pointless sandbox.

That's my thoughts the more I played. I was bothered about the balance for PVP, but the more I saw I also didn't think it felt right for PVE either

Armor its been non factor in ARK PVE for a while, you are as strong as your mount, I do most things from atop my wyvern unless I have to go artifact hunting.

You still need to do most of the things you used to do when you start a PVE server (farming, building, taming, breeding, etc). The point of PVE its not a race to flyer tier, its to climb the tech ladder and defeat the bosses. Have you fought any yet?

On PVE? None, I dont do PVE. Done all the bosses in PVP and so yet to finish Gen2 of course. I'll probably just watch the story in a video

I guess everyone here has not noticed but the armor is in fact linked to your stamina and the food drain to recover that stamina is huge. I flew from the left side center of the map over to the bridge. By the time I flew to the broken part of the bridge I was starving and very little stamina.
It is too OP for even PVE but as others said perhaps it is expected everyone will import from other maps instead of starting over. I am going to start fresh but undecided if I will keep the armour or chunk it.
To PVPers that do not like Gen all I can say is sorry but not everything that is MP has to be about brutally killing your fellow man. Occasionally developers realize this and make it better. If you want to play Rust then go play Rust. We all know that is a shoot on sight and/or spawn camp game for cowards with no skill. Ark was just turned into the same until Gen came along. I am sure PVPers will play Gen 2 and find cheats, hacks, plenty of exploits, to cowardly make their way to what they see as the top.

Due to the Size and verticality of the Map it is needed. there are resources you cannot acquire without it. Anything in Space for example.

Op is just a party pooper, bet he's the kind of baby at a party who leaves before everyone else... I'm glad i got this armor in genesis 2 and early the map was built around this concept

Er no it isn't? At least not on the server I'm on. It uses nothing at all

Exo Armor is fine for the new setting were in. If using it puts your personal skills at or above the "OP" range, take it off and do not use it.

Stop with the min/max hyperbole, no one is taking you seriously.

I took my participation-trophy armor off, threw it in obelisk, and then a new set respawned on me. The only option is to replace.

Definitely my least favorite DLC. And I liked all the others right away. The map is too dull.

You do need it to space walk so it is necesary that they give you one each time.
