Cave respawn problem?
Hi there,
i just quickly get into the swamp cave on the island (where the massive artifact is) to farm some cementing paste before dying from the poison.
Thing is now the mobs won't respawn at all,the entire cave it's empy i found just the loots crates and the artifact(that a few hours later the farming of 1 room of insects and run away).
What i need to do? I looked at some commands but there is nothing to force respawn the enemies,i also wipe wild dino and waited 30 min out of render of the cave,no luck.

(on google i found that enemies in caves respawn after 10/15 min or so normally and loot after 30).

Edit: i also noticed that now i don't freeze for 1 millisecond when i enter the cave at all like how always have been.

Edit 2 : Loot crates respawned but no enemies.

Not something i'm familiar with, i'd love the swamp cave empty for free runs :D.

Are you playing Singleplayer?

Sounds like it's single player. It will happen if you do the cave run right after you load into the map. But for me on single player, there are always pools of creatures lying on the ground, with swarms of meganeura and leeches.

Maybe waiting right outside the cave is enough, getting too far might trigger the hibernation thingy on single player.

Btw swamp cave yields artifact of the immune, artifact of the massive can be only found in the lava cave ;)

known bug they either don't care to fix or just can't. Spawning in caves has been screwy since they were added. It's either critters or artifacts that don't turn up. Sometimes waiting for 30 minutes before going into the cave works, sometimes you gotta make a bed outside, kill yourself while in the cave and then leg it back inside as fast as possible to bump the game into adding stuff.

Someone explained to me that if you change your max Dino settings to something high like 100 or more then it spawns that 100 dinos in to the map. Same with any max Dino count. This means only more can spawn once some die and they could spawn anywhere on the map. So the dinos are on the map before you get to them. This is an issue that needs fixing because you could have a really empty map then get to one area and witness world war minus one. I set mine to 50,000 but didn’t really see much difference in numbers (maybe just takes so long to spawn that many) but now I play with it on 50 because that’s 50 times the number they already set. You could also try a wild Dino wipe. Kills all dinos wild then they start spawning again.

You need to use the launch command -preventhibernation so that you improve the chances for things to respawn.

Additionally its a good idea to do ever so frequently a destroywilddino redistribution of dinos as sometimes spawn counts can get skewed.

Lastly, you can also opt instead to convert from singleplayer/nondedicated to a dedicated server on your comp and just switch it of when you're done for your play session. The benefit of this is that many of the issues with singleplayer/nondedicated such as this one become a non issue.

Ill try that.
Wouldn't make a dedicated server on my computer take a lot more resources tu run the game and the server? My rig isn't that powerfull i just have an rx 590,16 gb ram 3200 mhz ryzen 5 3600.

You can try. There have been people who have run servers on worse rigs in the past. if it doesn't work then use the other suggestions for single player. Also in single player there consider changing the respawn rate to being close to instant if you decide to test out the other suggestions to help too and then adjust up from there if too fast/much.

You mean dino count? If yes i put it to 2,i don't know if it's normal but with 1 there's a lot of dinos everywhere. Now i've put the hibernation command and ill try a dedicated server.

I don't understand how to join my server.I open it by clicking run dedicated server and a prompt windows command come out ,then i restarted the game with that windows on but there isn't my server in the list. '
Edit: if it's really needed i can't access my router settings at all because of the idiots internet providers which forced me to use their router.
Edit 2 : the hibernation thinghy/ForceRespawnDinos worked :D
