gliding mechanic
I've lost my love of flying dinos in the game for a while now. To me, it just made things too easy. I have to say though, since hopping on the back of my Griffin and feeling the wind bite through my fur armour as Hunter begins his attack run, massive wings unfurled like a drag net hurtling through the air, I have found that love again.

I then realise that I wish this were part of the flying mechanics of argy's and pterry's as well. I couldn't really care less about how fast they are or how powerful they are etc. I just wish I enjoyed flying on those magestic air beasts as much as I do when I'm with Hunter. There is no other flyer out there for me, and I really hope that this mechanic gets added to all flyers in Ark 2, though I severely doubt it. At least let there be Griffins and let them be unchanged.

I've noticed that my interest in a play through usually dies once I unlock flyers. My current play through on Genesis though has been going well following the vanilla rules.

Agree. I hope flying mechanics will be less arcady, a little more interesting, and flying mounts in general more realistic.

No more flapping mid air in place, not for long at least. No more pointing to a direction and holding w. No more vertical ascend, only gradual. Soaring and diving down mechanics. There should be consequenses crashing into a cliff or tree. I hope wild dinos actually fly around quickly, not kind of drift around in slow motion like they do right now.

Flying tames shouldn't be used as pack mules. Take argentavis for example: yes, it was a huge bird, but it weighted only around 80 kg to be able to fly. It shouldn't be able to haul a human + an entire house worth of materials. Massive metal platforms on a flyer does not make much sense either. I understand sacrificing realism for sake of gameplay, but that, IMHO, is a bit too much.

I hope there will be a shift in meta away from flyers - they should be still usefull, but not able to do almost anything in the game.

I kind of think that WC lost there way when they seemed to shift their focus to PvP as opposed to general game play or SP. I don't know if the entire tech tree is intentionally part of the unfolding Ark story, I just know that to me, a lot of it seems unrealistic and unnecessary. Especially the tech tier, that to me is solely for PvP.

I agree with your points on flyers. I especially agree with your point on the use of platforms and the carrying capacity. Aerial combat I can understand, but it makes more sense to me for flyers to be used as fighters instead of battleships or aircraft carriers.
