Where can I find populated unofficial servers?

most of the time you have to go out of your way to find unofficial ark servers that are populated, like looking at steam discussions, finding them from youtube channels, etc

Something populated with a times 3 multiplier or something like that. The highest unofficial server on my list only had 9 players which seemed wrong.

yeah the unofficial list is garbage and likes to show hundreds of empty servers rather than ones with players for some reason

Most people use the battlemetrics website and filter their searches for ark servers accordingly. It is the only comprehensive search list of all 70,000 or so servers.

The links to that and a similar one for tribes looking for more are visible from the General Discussion, lower right corner, but not from within a thread like this one.

Steam could do a better job at making sub-forums more visible. :/

Edited Note: Although once you know where the sub-forums are, it's quicker to access than forums that have a separate page to list all the sub-forums.

yes that's true, but it's less toxic than official and you can learn there a lot of base building, what dinos people use you know

Use Battlemetrics but you also have to understand that most well established communities play most if not all of the maps in cluster so you may see an individual map as low pop but if you look at the whole cluster, there could be well over a hundred people playing and communicating over global chat.

Years late to this party I know but thought I'd mention that Arkade is still going strong with consistently healthy population numbers on the cluster. My tribe mate and I have played quite a few different unofficials and Arkade is easily the best cluster we've found. Honestly the only beef I have is there are a few deco mods I wish they had but that is it and seriously that want on my part just isn't that big a deal. Also, we've all seen unofficials promoting their "active admins," right? Then reality is that there are never admins around. With Arkade assistance has NEVER failed to show up and help resolve an issue for us. Wait times for assistance varies from immediate to maybe the next day but that help has NEVER failed to arrive. Also, there are regular and ongoing cluster sponsored events for players to participate in. For example one of the most fun times I've ever had playing ASE was a huge Boss on the cluster event map. Alpha ape, minions dropping in and around 30 or so players. It was a blast. Paint ball tourneys on the event map. Daily and weekly quests with awards for completion. It is. Arkade is a great cluster.
