What's the point of Mushroom Brew?

Mushroom Brew allows tames that aren't immune to radiation to be protected from it, but the effect only lasts two minutes. So what's the point? You can't take a ravager pack into radiation because you can't keep feeding the brew to all the individual ravagers. So why is Mushroom Brew even in the game?
