Ark makes my fans go nuts
I have geforce rtx 2060, 36gb ram and (i think) intel core i7, and liquid cooling. games like cyberpunk or monster hunter on max setting doesnt make the fans spin as fast as this game on medium/low, anyone knows what is causing it?

Ark is the only game that I manually turn my cpu cooler fans to extreme and the gpu fans to 96%. I also have a i7, 2060, 36gb and I can keep my gpu below 76c while playing Ark in ultra settings 1080p. If I leave the fans on default it goes up to 83c :OnFire:

For Cyberpunk if you disable the dlss or use all RTX on settings I'm sure it would get much hotter and cause fans to go nuts as well.

Probably the constant 98-100% GPU load that ARK is infamous for.

Likely due to a high reliance on post-processing shaders. Distance field shadows alone is something that can consume several ms per frame.

do you maybe have poor case cooling?

i run ark at 1440p max settings and get between 65-68c on the GPU and 60c on the CPU.
thats with 2x200mm front fans and 3x120mm exhaust fans.

my pc could handle cyberpunk on high settings without heating over 50, i would say my cooling is working nice

Apparently its not working if ark is causing them to go nuts. Might need to limit your frames.
I have no issues with fans going crazy with ark and i can run cyberpunk max settings easily.

You are probably running at settings in excess of what your setup can handle. Cyberpunk is coded so poorly and so badly optimised, its a lottery as to PC performance, the only benchmark it tops is sales BS.
