isn't it supposed to improve loot quality, because all im getting is absolute s**t. just green saddles and garbage blueprints

Loot drops have always been intentionally poor. It's a way to force players to spend more time in game. You get good stuff from drop one, you don't need to hunt drops two through eighty, get bored and go play a different game.

that's literally what i did. went through the effort of getting a queen bee bringing it back to base waiting for enough honey then spending an hour searching for a magical liopleurodon to take to candy mountain and for what. a temporary tame with a "buff" so ♥♥♥♥ it gave me worse loot than what i usually get from blue drops anyway. i opened 20+ purple and gold drops and the only ascendant piece i got was a saddle with a laughable 25def. literally just exited the game. would have rather those two irritating horses took my kidneys tbh

Wonder if the boost is greater the greater the loot. I.e. try the red drops etc in caves maybe. I was gonna try that.

the loot was equally ♥♥♥♥ across the board. just ramshackle everything and blueprints for basic stuff any max level player already has. if red drops actually dropped i would have checked but there wasn't any because they hardly ever drop and when they do it's usually worse than what you get from purple. the best things i've got so far have been from blue drops. a 400+ damage shotgun and ascendant blue prints for flack armour, all which i got when the so called buff wasn't active. i get the drops being stingey AF on PVP but there's no need for it in single player
