is ark playable offline?
before the offline crashing i been wanting to ask if ark was well suited for offline since i play single player or does it need to be online all the time?

Normally speaking, the game is very playable offline, atm however this is a bit of a problem.
Can still play in steam offline mode, but you need a net connection open atm, not sure if or when that is going to be fixed.

you mean the crashing issue if so yeah that's what's going on right also the issue offline would be fps drops to mention that as well

Yeah Ive heard this started after Genesis 2 released
Something they did changed things that require a net connection now EVEN for single player mode.
Which is quite dumb, as if there wasnt enough complaining about "Always Online" already lol

true that yeah its a recent new issue but its not that actually new tbh it happened before gen 2 the common issue had or still is fps drops offline and would wander if there was any way to improve fps

I haven not really had any major noticeable difference in fps, when comparing online play vs offline play, so i'm not entirely sure what you are on about.

In case you are referring to multi-player vs Singleplayer, the only notable difference i have ever had in that regards, is that my PC uses less RAM if i play on a server.
