Gen 2 "Survive the ark"
How can you beat that mission solo? I tried it many tiems now and only got it 1 time into the second wave. The problem ist, that I just can`t run away from them to shoot more often, they constantly hit me while running

I was able to beat it on both Gamma and Beta solo, so while it does take awhile, "Survive the Ark" is possible to complete alone. The trick is to wear good armor, and keep using the jump pads that are located around the edge of the arena. While you are flying through the air is when you need to shoot, and as soon as you land you should run for the next jump pad (so bring a lot of water). For weapons, I like to go bow -> simple pistol -> Fab. Sniper Rifle. For creatures, I think the Shadowmanes and Allos are the best. Having increased movement speed is also very helpful for this mission, because it makes it easier to avoid being surrounded. Gamma is pretty easy to beat solo once you get used to it, while Beta can be quite difficult and may take several tries. Alpha, on the other hand, seems to be impossible to do solo.

You can beat the easiest difficulty fairly easily, just takes luck and tenacity.

Level HP to over 250 and speed to at or over 133%. Bring a tek canteen or a few normal ones (you run out of water fast). I brought 200 cooked meat just in case, but i used probably 35 total. Stamina doesnt matter since you dont drain stamina in teh arena.

For armor i suggest your strongest, easiest to repair armor like flak. Riot is good if you have the mats to repair, BUT, if you die, you are going to need to repair armor since getting hit after desynching causes damage to armor (F-you WC for that one). Always keep some tek armor since it's invulnerable in the even your stuff breaks, free durability.

For other stuff, bring fria curry. You get a massive move speed bonus and helps kiting on wave 1. Bring LOTS of medical brews. I can bring 100 for 3 rounds since you really only need it in emergencies or during round 1. I didn't bring anything else, but bring any food other than enduro stew since it blocks healing from food and brews.

For strat i always go for the bow. It 1-shots anything with a headshot. I typically just run around like an ape on wave 1 since there's only a few threats. run in a straight line then turn to fire every few seconds. I personally save up 2k points (above your hotbar) and buy either allos or shadowmanes, just depends on how i feel. Allos fend off better on bigger dinos and shadows decrease damage dealt when they're hit, which is nice.

After i get 1 set of tames (2k points spend) go for the revolver (1k points). It's a 6-shot then reload but it 1-shots most creatures and is fast to fire. It quickly pays for itself and is a great weapon overall. You can also snipe most creatures which is very important for Reapers and wyverns. Tames are EXTREMELY important on the easiest difficulty since they tank damage and are very durable. Just remember to have allos for the final wave! No spoilers there.

I usually camp near the shadowmane spawner and rarely leave that area unless i feel ballsy or i need something or have to kill to end the wave.

After i have 1-set of tames and a pistol I spam shadows and allos. Once again, doesn't matter which, but I usually just alternate. Towards the last 3 waves i get a pump shotgun. Absolute BEAST and has 13 (?) shots in the mag. decimates creatures in 1 hit and is reliable. Cheap and super effective. You can get it earlier if you are struggling with pistol, but wait until pistol expires or you have wasted precious points.

Dont bother with bosses, too expensive and last 1 wave. Boosts are temporary and are absolute trash. Waste of points.

Waves vs rounds: Wave is the 1-10 you go through and rounds repeat after wave 10 which will go back to the beach wave with stronger dinos. You keep your setup like tames and current weapon.

They really made the shadowmane and allos BROKEN good for getting 1 difficulty cleared. You can pretty much go 2 rounds to the end with a mix of 25 tames between them. Other tames are trash dooky useless terrible, dont use anything other than those 2.
sorry for the long post, hope it helps though. It's a tough one past the beginner difficulty and i've only cleared the first difficulty (Kraken's better dinos cucked me with raptor pounce bug).
