Find a nice server with friendly people* aka not official
Battlemetrics [www.battlemetrics.com] has a people sort. I recommend pve not pvp. Pvp has very caustic players. And I recommend servers with no mods.
You would literally have to find a small group of people likely fewer than 10 to enjoy the darn game personally. xD
We've told you, and you're read on here before that the majority of the player base do not play on the 1300ish wildcard maintained (official and legacy combined) servers but instead play on the 70,000+ unofficial servers, where such things are usually a non issue.
Asking how to make -single- player not lonely and then making the comments like you did above means there is a cognitive dissonance between your wants and the reality of the situation that you're marginalizing yourself by.
There are plenty of great servers built around and by good gaming communities. But its up to you to do your own due diligence to find them.
That said, you can use the S+ gardener, collector, and farmer and dress them up as you please if you just want to window dress things.
I assume you're also using Eco's mod that gives the wild west structures feel too already...
That would be called pvpve and exclusively only a server type on unofficial servers mainly, though there are unofficials that actively enforce less lopsided pvp in other ways too.
Not really true.
On my server cluster the only map that could be considered over populated is Ragnarok because everyone LOVES that map. THe other maps on the server cluster have tons of great places to build. Even Ragnarok still has good places so long as you don't looking for your own private pond of which there are only a few left on the main continent which are deep enough to house aquatic dinos and where players are allowed to build (players aren't allowed to build near beaver dens).
Part of the solution to lack of good building sites is to have and enforce strict limitations and rules on where players can build and how much they can build out. On my server cluster players are limited to one location per map, cannot be near major resource spawns, and we have a size limit although I cannot remember what it is only that almost no one ever hits it.
WTF? Unofficial Servers are really cool!
