Ok -- I been away for a minute and learned something. I caused this problem. I had slower than normal frame rates / longer than normal load times - sometimes causing ark to go non-responding during the load. And floating jellyfish. I caused all this.
These are symptoms of using -preventhibernation which I had recently added to the launch parameters. But - one does not just remove this parameter and reload the game. Now you face a fatal error which ultimately says you are missing files and crashes dead.
So when you are NOT using -preventhibernation ark will save those dinos that spawned on the other side of map in a 'stasis'. This is good - your computer does not have to think about them until you get near. The fine print will tell you that this 'stasis' is literally files on the hard drive. Works fine.
When you place -preventhibernation in the launch parameters and launch Ark, Ark will load these 'stasis' dinosaurs into memory and from that point on ALL the dinosaurs on the map will be saved in your map save file. Not mention they will all be 'alive' all the time. BUT Ark deletes the 'stasis' files when it does this.
All fine until you decide you want to remove the launch parameter.
What you have to do to overcome the crashes about missing files is to run ark with the launch parameter and use 'destroywilddinos', just as soon as that completes - quit the game.
Now you are free to remove the launch parameter and run Ark. It wont complain of missing files and drop dead. You must do this with each map you ran when you had '-preventhibernation' enabled to 'clear' the map and begin using those stasis files again.
I no longer have slower than normal frame rates / longer than normal load times - nor any floating jellyfish.
This took forever to type and longer to learn. Hope this post helps someone.
I do understand that certain mods work better with the launch parameter enabled. Ones that scan the map for live dinos I would guess.

These are mine, I feel like I should have no problems with it on, but game is stuttering so much
By removing this parameter I resolved all the problems I mentioned above. The only way to know is to try it both ways and see what is best for you.
It is best for me to leave it off.
Is there anyway to allow the babies to grow if this is turned off besides being within render distance? I would like some extra FPS especially on aberration.
