ARK Savegame Visualiser (ASV)

Hi guys - I've been developing it on the survivetheark forums for quite a while now but thought I'd share with you guys too.

If you have access to the folder where the .ark file is saved you can use my tool to visualise the various game data in grids and plotted against the game-map.

Has options to export the data as JSON for anybody interested in making their own tool or website to feed this information to their players.

Nice, i use Larkator from time to time, but its quite lacking these days sadly.
Always good to see more tools on the market, and yours includes a few more features even

It was just a simple little tool to help me show wild and tames in grids. The other forum users had a LOT of good suggestions and ideas and I like a challenge.

This is likely never going to happen, but i have to ask either way as i have not had time to look it up myself, can you also access to the '\Saved\LocalProfiles\PlayerLocalData.arkprofile' with the toolkit your using ?

Having a tool that can display the content of said file, and the dream obviously being to clean it, would help people figure out what items are clogging up there transmitter (plus it also store the players own map markers, witch could be nice to add ;) ).

I'll investigate - I know that I read in any .arkprofile that matches the current map so it might already do this - although presumably only on single player where that data is available?

Ok, had a quick look. It doesn't currently read that file but I can alter a few things to make it read in.

Will add things to terminals etc. and see what we can get out of it but my current profile shows the following properties:

Nice, interesting as well, not surprised transmitter data isn't there to openly view but it was worth a try :)

It might be.. I don't often use transmitter so might not have the data available in my local profile yet. Will do more testing to see what I can get populated.

Now added items to ARK Data and uploaded a tame and have more data under a new property: MyArkData

It has lists for "ArkItems" and "ArkTamedDinosData" for things uploaded to the terminal although the properties are quite different to how normal inventories are saved.

It's going to take me some time but leave it with me to code it up and work out where on the app to display this information

This is great not sure if helpful, but i could get a profile with my older main toon, should have loads of things marked in said file.

Nothing to add on the rest of the App so far though, still getting used to it atm, but has a lot to offer that is very useful already.

Lordbufu - If you could get that uploaded somewhere I'll pull it to pieces and see what additional data you have that I don't currently.

Almost completed reading in the uploaded character profiles then I'll work on uploaded Dinos, Items and then any other bonus add data - player map markers etc.

FYI I have managed to get it loading all uploaded characters, tames and map markers.

Still working on the "Items" before bringing all that information back up to the UI for display - likely tomorrow evening before I get that completed and an update released.

Added tab for Local Profile - shows uploaded characters and tames. Working on Items.
Added tab for Leaderboards - shows mission counts and scores by tribe, player and mission.
Added map support for: Ebanus Astrum, Olympus & Amissa mod maps.

Nice, sending you a request to share my profile, though it sounds and looks like you managed to get most data out of it already.

Edit: Also minor question, how can i get the tool to detect my ark steam install ? In the settings menu the 'Single Player (steam)' dropdown, has no options to select, though ark is installed in the steam directory (not located in its default location but in 'D:\Games\Steam\').

Added manual selection option for Steam folder.

Re-worked order of map draw so markers for player content appears above game content.
Added various caves, mission terminals etc. to custom maps.
Added option to group your custom markers by a "Category"
