Find another player's past servers
I was attempting to join a tribe on a new server and after friending me on Steam, a player was able to see every server I had been on in the past. I've tried everything I can think of but I can't find out how he was able to see that. And if anyone knows how, is there a way to stop people from being able to see?

The players on the server are "open information". Not sure if there is a way to limit how people can access that information.

About how he might do it: Not sure, I use battlemetrics for my server. Thats a web service with RCON to manage my servers. They track players through their system and I can see which servers they were playing on, before they joined my server. That only works for players who are playing on my server though. I could imagine that there are more tools like that.

Wow Kuishi I didn't even know that battlemetrics was available. Great site.

Napalm, using the battlemetrics site, I was able to pull up all sorts of information on players that play on my server, including other games playing and when they played and what ark servers they connected to. I imagine Kuishi hit the head of the nail, that site is how they found out about you.

This was on an official server though and I've tried playing around with Battlemetrics but can't seem to find anyone individually with the free version at least.

Yeah, battlematrics is just if you manage your server (with the paid service). They wont and don't want to give you informations to players your are not connected with (connected like they play on one of your servers).

It was basically just an example I know of services which track players on servers. I am sure there is other online services which focus on player tracking.

You can get a lot of information for free, at the right time, or if the player is on the top 10 spent hours.

1. Find server on battlemetrics
2. Find player when he's online. (Or is on the top10, bottom right)
3. Click name ( Example of myself[www.battlemetrics.com] )
4. Check history

Interesting. Seems like they changed that since I had a look the last time. Maybe because many people were asking for it...

Yup that worked! Thanks guys! Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's really a way to prevent people from seeing the info without preventing them from seeing my Steam name which is almost impossible
