If the other mouse is Wireless its likely going to sleep after some time of being idle, a Wired mouse wouldnt do that..
But does the mouse act up when it hasnt been used for an amount of time or does it do it even while its being used?
Its likely caused by resource usage because of the game being ran for so long
How much RAM do you have?
What it sounds to me... Is that the game is not properly capturing the mouse and after a certain point your cursor is leaving the Ark, or RDP window. Such that naturally the game stops recognising the mouses movement anymore.
You could try a remote "control" (note different to remote "desktop"). Examples being logmein, teamviewer, and VNC.
Or alternatively adjust your resolution/window settings in both Ark and RDP. Are you using RDP in full screen or windowed? How about Ark?
Ultimately its simply not meant to be used in this manner so you may not be able to fix it.
If someone just gave you a saved connection/shortcut. Rightclick and edit it to see the options.
What I am asking... is the resolution of your RDP connection. And to tinker with that as a potential fix.
