how to tame a yuty

i have been trying to tame them forever either it dies from wild dinos or drowns i try to lure it in the trap it gets distracted i managed to trap a 150 it died when i was knocking it out

use tranq darts and a trap

Keep at it. Eventually you will find one that is not near things that it will aggro, and you can trap. As Lizard said, you tranq darts with a long neck.

Make a trap with metal billboard and leave a little space the yuty can walt tru and place a large beartrap in the middle when it gets stuck in the trap plas a billboard in the hole he walked tru

Kill all animals around the Yutyrannus, so the possibility of distraction goes zero, and trapping it in will be easier. And as others mentioned before, use tranquilizer darts with a long neck rifle. This is the weapon of choice, because crossbows are for some animals very tricky; they deal more damage whilst the process of tranquilizing, so the chance of surviving for your potential tame rises with the darts. Unless you have already a Snow Owl, which can freeze heal the Yuty; then crossbows are risk free.

Crossbows are cheap and alright with most animals, but sometimes darts are a worthwhile investment. Unless you like the thrill of playing lottery.

You have to kill every living thing around it so it doesn't agro and kill itself, they are stupid like that. Once the area is cleared you either kite it into a trap or just face tank with a dino while you place dino gates around it.

Useful site for knowing how long for knockout etc.
A friendly tip, if a carnivore isn't at max hp if it eats a corpse it'll regain some hp (not as much as an argy would but better than nothing). As far as I can tell, dino corpse doesn't matter so you could grab a dodo and kill it above the yuty and let the corpse fall into the trap.

Harpoon net gun is like a bolo but works i most dinos including the Yuty .
Net it then build a fast bill board setup around it and tranq in safety ..

Can always add spikes around outside keep other dinos away ..

If you have access to extinction an owl helps a lot being able to heal it if youre using a Xbow

Only works on pvp I think, pve it does nothing.

Hmm... been a while since I've tried healing a wild with an owl but last time on a pve I couldn't target wild animals. Tamed yes, wild was an exercise in futility though.
